In the Battle of the Books Competition, students from two grades form a team, and then compete with other teams in the first round, and then the two teams that come in first and second place move onto the next round, which is the district battle, and I was on the team that won in second grade, and we even got a trophy
This month the entire school, more than 600 kids, showed up together at the annual Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Hope Filled Holiday event to pack 46,656 nourishing meals, enough to feed 127 starving children for a year.
Adolph Link Elementary School is a school that has been running for so long, and serves so many students, and it has officially reached, and went above 600 students!
Throughout the year of 2020, the novel COVID-19 is hitting schools, teachers, and students especially hard. To start off 2021 freshly, Adolph Link Elementary School has decided to go hybrid. Hybrid learning is where there are some children learning from home, and some children learning by coming to the school bulding. Along with a change in learning methods, there is a change in the schedule of students, and the students have to end school 15 minutes early. As for the safety measures being taken, students and teachers all no have to be wearing a mask in school at all times. Also, staff and students are screened for temperatures.
As the school starts reopening after the pandemic, they are also beginning to let students come into the school building, so they can do tests over math and english. These tests are performed traditinally every school year thrice, and this school year it hasn't even been done once so far, so this is a very important event not only because of the lack of testing this year, but also because these tests help the school touch to base on where students are at academic wise.
